    Robert M. Preston has a long history of dedication and outstanding service to the Bel Air community; one that encompasses a strong commitment to the well being of the Town of Bel Air, as well as Bel Air High School. A life long resident of the Town of Bel Air, he is the grandson of C. Milton Wright, a former superintendent of Harford County public schools. After graduating from Bel Air High School in 1967, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He returned from service to his Country to join a family office supply business in Bel Air. Preston's Stationary has operated in the Bel Air community since 1926.
    Mr. Preston has been a member of the Bel Air Rotary Club for 24 years, a former member of the Bel Air Planning Commission, as well as the Historical Society of Harford County. He was elected to the Bel Air Board of Commissioners in November 2002.

     David E. Carey

    David E. Carey is a graduate of Dulaney High School in Timonium, and received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of Wooster (Ohio). He received his law degree from the University of Baltimore in 1989, and then served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Karwacki, then an Associate Judge of the Court of Special appeals of Maryland. Mr. Carey is active in community affairs and served on the Futures Commission of Harford County, the Greater Bel Air/Forest Hill Community Planning Council and the Harford County Housing and Community Development Commission. He is the past Chair of the Town of Bel Air's Economic and Community Development Commission. In 1997 and 2001 he was elected to a four-year term on the Bel Air Board of Commissioners and in 1998 to the Harford County Democratic Central Committee. He also serves on the Legislative committee of the Maryland Municipal League and has testified before committees in both the Maryland House of Delegates and Senate on issues of interest to Maryland's cities and towns. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, the National Criminal Defense Attorneys Association, and the American, Maryland and Harford County Bar Association.

     Terence O. Hanley

    Terence Hanley was elected to the Town Commission in November 2003. He has liaison responsibilities with the Town's departments of Administration, Finance, and Public Works. His community involvement includes membership on the Harford County Public Library Foundation (on which he serves as Vice President), Harford County Historical Society, Eden Mill Nature Center Foundation, and the Bel Air Elementary School PTA. His commitment and dedication have been recognized by his nomination as Rawlings Fellow for the State of Maryland, joining a select group of public leaders from across the State.

    As a former member of the Bel Air Economic and Community Development Commission, he is committed to encouraging business and commercial viability. Terry and his wife Debra own an historically designated home on East Broadway; they are committed to preserving the charm and tradition of the Town's residential neighborhoods. He was a member of the first graduating class of C. Milton Wright High School and his three children attend Harford County Public Schools.

    As an independent mortgage loan specialist with Equitable Trust Mortgage Corporation, Terry works as a mortgage banker, owning his own net branch of Equitable Trust Mortgage Corporation.

    Terry is aware of the importance of balancing growth while maintaining small town charm and quality of life.

     Edward Hopkins

    Edward "Eddie" Hopkins is a lifelong resident of Bel Air. He was elected to the board on November 6, 2007. Eddie has been dedicated and committed to the Bel Air community since his teenage years. He has been an active member of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company for 34 years serving in such positions as President,Secretary,Assistant Fire Chief,Station Captain,EMS Captain,Paramedic,and Public Information Officer. He has dedicated his time to various nonprofit groups which include Maryland's Special Olympics,the Sexual Assault/Spousal Abuse Resource Center,the Harford County Boys and Girls Club, Harford County Crime Solvers,and the Maryland Children's Alliance.

    Eddie served with the Harford County Sheriff's Office for twenty-nine years retiring as a Lieutenant. During most of his law-enforcement tenure Eddie served as a detective in the Criminal Investigation Division where he was a first-line supervisor of the Major Crimes Unit and as Director of the Harford County Child Advocacy Center, a center for the investigation of child sexual abuse. He served as a Watch Commander at the Sheriff's Office Northern Precinct and for 11 years served as the Director of Public and Media Relations and Chief Spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. He currently works for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) as the their Chief of Staff.

    Eddie holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration with a minor in Police Management from the University of Baltimore. He formerly hosted and produced a cable television show entitled "Behind the Badge", an award winning informational show about the Harford County Sheriff's Office and currently hosts, Inside Harford County" a live call-in talk show on the Harford Cable Network where local elected officials are interviewed on issues pertinent to Harford County.

    He is actively involved father of three boys participating in school activities,Scouts,soccer and lacrosse.

     Robert J Reier

    Robert J. Reier has been an active member of the Bel Air community since opening his Chiropractic practice in the town in 1999. Dr. Reier currently serves on the Bel Air Downtown Alliance's executive board and has been a proud member of this organization since its inception. In 2006, Dr. Reier was honored for this service to the community and was awarded as the Bel Air Business of the Year and the Bel Air Downtown Alliance's Member of the Year. These honors were given, in part, to his volunteer efforts in organizing and running the annual Summer Outdoor Movie Series in Shamrock Park.

    Dr. Reier is a graduate of St. Paul's School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola College in Baltimore. In 1993, Dr. Reier received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences, and has dedicated himself to patient care ever since.
