Metered parking is available on downtown streets, various lots and in the parking garage. These places are convenient to all downtown merchants and offices, as well as the Courthouse, Town Hall, Library and County and State Agencies. Parking at meters in Downtown Bel Air is FREE Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The Town encourages you to take advantage of the free parking and visit the Farmers Market, shops and restaurants that line Main Street and the Bond Street area.
Handicap parking spaces are now available in front of 118 S. Main Street, 11-15 S. Main Street, 6 - 8 N. Main Street and 143 N. Main Street.

The Town Center Parking Study
DESMAN Associates was retained by the Planning Department of the Town of Bel Air, Maryland to assess the supply and demand for parking within 21 city blocks of the historic commercial district locally recognized as the Town Center to the community. To this end and in cooperation with the Town Planning Department DESMAN; 1) surveyed and verified the scope of the present supply of parking throughout Town Center area; 2) documented and analyzed the utilization of the parking supply during the peak activity period, 3) gathered and analyzed information pertaining to planned and proposed future projects and the impact they will have on the supply and demand for parking in the Town Center; 4) recommended a site for the development of a new parking garage and 5) formulated preliminary conceptual design schemes and cost estimates for the development of a new parking garage.
Lease Parking Program/Parking Vouchers
The Town of Bel Air operates three at grade parking lots and a garage in the Town Center. Lease spaces are available on a monthly basis at each location. For persons coming to the Town Center occasionally, a discounted voucher program is available which allows visitors to park all day in the garage for $2 per day. Vouchers are sold in a book of five. The Town also offers parking vouchers for 2 hour parking at a meter in the garage. These vouchers are sold in a book of five and sells for $5.
