The Bicycle and Segway patrols are established in the Bel Air Police Department to allow the community policing that provides closer contact with the public allowing direct contacts for problem identification and problem solving. This includes business and residential contacts that provide the community with interaction with the police department to develop a network with the public for proactive operation by the Town of Bel Air Police Department.
