Committee on The Elderly and Needy Citizens

Overview


​The Committee on the Elderly and Needy Citizens is a volunteer organization consisting of five members appointed by the Board of Town Commissioners. The members are appointed to serve for terms as follows: of the five-member committee, one shall be appointed to serve for one year, two for two years, and two for three years. Thereafter, members shall be appointed for terms of three years each.


Purpose


​The Committee on The Elderly and Needy Citizens examines, studies and evaluates the Bel Air living environment from the standpoint of its elderly and needy residents. The Committee also identifies problems being experienced by the Town's elderly and needy citizens and through periodic meetings or reports advises the Board of Town Commissioners of these problems and recommended solutions.
