Bel Air Police Department Seek Suspect in Malicious Destruction Incidents
Bel Air, Md -- On Monday, October 12, 2020 at around 0630 am, the Bel Air Police responded to the Major Choice Community in reference to reports of vandalism to residences in the area. Upon canvassing the neighborhood and upon receiving additional reports of vandalism, there currently is a total of four homes in the Major’s Choice community that was struck by the vandal(s). Homes along the block of Benjamin Road and Court and N. Shamrock were spray-painted (black) with “BLM” and anti-Trump graffiti. The crimes likely occurred between the hours of 1 am and 6:30 am in the morning.
The attached surveillance photos are snapshots of the suspect in this case which was captured on a residential infrared surveillance camera. Due to the footage being captured in an infrared format, the actual colors of the suspects clothing are dark, rather than light. The Bel Air Police Department welcomes tips on potential suspect(s) in this case and will/is aggressively pursuing all leads to this politically oriented hate incident and others, to include posting of racist stickers supportive of the white supremacy movement. Anyone caught committing these criminal acts, will at a minimum face charge(s) of vandalism which carries a fine and penalty of (at a maximum) of 3 years imprisonment or a fine not to exceed $2,500, or both.
In addition, Bel Air Police Department continues to seek information surrounding the application of Patriot Front stickers defacing public and private properties throughout town.
